Grade 3C and Mrs Cocks are enjoying are enjoying a Book Safari this term with Roald Dahl. At the moment they are reading Fantastic Mr Fox. The book is actually coming to life for them because the tractors in the story are also working outside their classroom with other machinery as our demolition works are happening!
Fantastic Mr Fox has been made into an animated video. Click on the picture below to visit the official movie website. Mr Fox is played by George Clooney and Mrs Fox is played by Meryl Streep. The film will be in Australian cinemas in January…

It’s been great to hear about your Book Safari and I hope you’re enjoying reading Fantastic Mr. Fox. I watched a story on Italian TV a few weeks ago and they were promoting the animated film. It was funny hearing Mr. Clooney doing the voice in Italian. I didnt get to see him when I was in Sulmona but I did see some Americans working on the film he was doing. I think it is set in WW2.
Miss Yeomans, you’ll be happy to hear that here in Italy they promote reading on Italian TV. They have a series of people whispering and giving a book to the next person. The catch phrase translates as -Reading is the food of the mind.
